Course Description

Professional certification is quickly becoming the standard to compete in today’s fast-paced and highly technical project management world. This course prepares you to pass the Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam on your first and only attempt. You will use flashcards, mind maps, flow charts, ITTO diagrams, and 1,000 practice exam questions to learn essential process groups, knowledge areas, processes, and inputs, tools and techniques, and outputs from A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide).

This course is fully aligned with the new PMBOK® GuideSixth Edition.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the Project Management Life Cycle using the context of the five PMBOK® Guide Process Groups
  • Utilize and build upon your existing knowledge base and experience to more efficiently pass your PMP® certification exam through skills development and focused memorization exercises

Who Should Attend

Project managers, team leaders, and team members preparing to take the PMP Exam. Participants should be aware of exam eligibility criteria established by the Project Management Institute (PMI)®.

Preparing for the Exam

This course examines the specific skills of passing the PMP Exam through the lens of the 10 Knowledge Areas. Special importance is given to those concepts that historically have been emphasized by PMI, including memorization of guides and diagrams. Intense question review and focused memorization are an integral part of this course.

Putting It All Together

The PMP® Boot Camp is an intensive five-day course. You need to come prepared to put in a full day, with study assignments in the evenings. Frequent practice exams, reviews, and written exercises will enable you to master the test-taking skills needed for the PMP Exam.

In-Class Practice Exams and Exercises

In-class practice exams help you learn the nature of the PMP Exam, the types of questions asked, and the form the questions take. Through practice exercises, you will gain valuable information, learn how to rapidly recall important facts, and generally increase your test-taking skills. Specifically, you will:
